Privacy Policy

LearnFaster is a language-learning app that turns the words you want to learn into flashcards, quizzes, and daily practice. It is operated by AINOR sp. z o.o., a company based in Poland (“LearnFaster”, “we”, “us”), which is the data controller for your information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the control you have over it. It applies to our website and our iOS app.

Information we collect

  • Account information. Your email address, and an optional display name, handled through our authentication provider when you sign up or sign in.
  • Learning data. The words you add and their translations, your learning progress (review schedule, strength, lapses), word sets, daily goal, streak, and your chosen native language, target language, and level.
  • Limited usage data. Counters of how many AI generations you’ve requested, used only to apply fair-use limits.
  • Usage and analytics data. How you interact with the app — screens you open, features you use, sessions, and your device and app version — so we can understand what works and improve the product. This is tied to your account but never sold or used for advertising.

We do not request your location or contacts, and we do not use advertising or cross-app tracking. The camera and photo library are accessed only if you choose the Scan feature to turn a photo into flashcards. Subscription purchases are processed by Apple — we never receive your payment-card details.

How we use your data

  • To provide the core service — store your deck, schedule reviews, and track your progress across devices.
  • To generate learning content (example sentences, audio, illustrative images) for the words you study.
  • To keep the service reliable and prevent abuse (the fair-use counters above).
  • To understand how the app is used so we can fix problems and improve it (product analytics).
  • To respond to you when you contact support.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it to show you ads.

AI-generated content

To create examples, pronunciation audio, and pictures, the words and short text you are learningare sent to AI providers on our behalf. This is vocabulary and study content — not your identity, email, or progress. We send only the minimal text needed to produce the result, and the generated assets are cached and shared across learners so the same word isn’t generated twice.

Service providers

We rely on a small set of vetted providers to run LearnFaster. They process data only to provide their service to us:

  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
  • Vercel — application hosting.
  • Anthropic (Claude) — generating example sentences and vocabulary content.
  • ElevenLabs — text-to-speech audio for pronunciation.
  • Pixabay — stock image search for illustrative pictures.
  • Amplitude — product analytics (how the app is used), processed in the United States.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your data for as long as your account exists. You can permanently delete your account at any time from inside the app (Profile → Delete account) or on the web. Deletion is immediate and irreversible: it removes your account and all associated learning data — your words, progress, sets, and streak. You may also email us at support@learnfaster.ai to request deletion.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit, and access to our systems is restricted. No method of transmission or storage is ever perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.

International transfers

Our providers may process and store data on servers located in the United States and other countries. By using LearnFaster you understand your data may be transferred to and processed in those locations.

Children

LearnFaster is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data, and to object to certain processing. Most of this is available directly in the app; for anything else, contact us and we will help.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we’ll update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated policy.
